Rod Hernandez has over 40 years of experience in training both horse and rider. He specializes in training for western pleasure, trail, and showmanship classes, hunter under saddle, as well as the lost art of pleasure riding.  His training methods can be summed up as the Three C's: Calmness, Clarity & Consistency. Whether you show your horse, want to work cattle, or just want to hit the trail, Rod will help you achieve a safe, trusting relationship with your horse.

Rod is also a real-life cowboy, and runs a herd of cattle in the East Bay Hills, bringing his "real-time" experience to the training arena. 

Rod has great success with fixing "problem" horses that may have been pushed too fast too early or that have been mistreated, as well as fixing "problem" riders! 

Rod is a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the
AQHA Professional Horsemen's Association.
